Where is your office located, and do you return telephone calls?
My office is in a suite inside of AKC Healthcare Incorporated at 1180 McKendree Church Road Suite 207 Lawrenceville, GA 30043. Yes, I return all telephone calls within 24 business hours, however I normally answer my telephone or return telephone calls within an hour.
How much does it cost?
Yes, therapy is an investment. My rates are $150 per each 50-minute session for 1 person and $175 per 70-minute session for 2 or more people. Couples Therapy is $450 for the initial assessment which includes 3 90-minute sessions plus an extensive FREE online in-depth relationship analysis worth $30 dollars that you get to keep even if you decide to seek therapy somewhere else after the initial assessment. I do offer a limited number of sliding scale slots and package deals that offer a slight discount.
Do you take insurance?
I have found that taking insurance places unnecessary restraints and restrictions on the therapeutic relationship and process, therefore I have decided not to take insurance. I do offer a monthly super bill to all clients which can be used to submit for out of network reimbursement.
I accept cash and all major credit cards for payment. Payment is due prior to starting each session.
How long does therapy take?
Well, therapy takes as long as it takes and there should not be a set prescription for therapy as everyone responds differently based upon their unique treatment goals, however I never keep anyone in therapy longer than necessary.
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your initial 1-3 visits are used by me for rapport building, gathering important details and collecting historical data that will be used to help with goal setting and eventually discharge planning.
How do I make an appointment?
That’s easy – call me at 470-588-2624.
Do you offer evening and weekend appointments and what do I do if I experience an after-hours emergency?
Yes, I do offer some evening and weekend appointments, but unfortunately I do not offer after-hours emergency help. Please call 911 immediately and/or go to the nearest emergency room if you are experiencing a crisis or mental health emergency.
How much experience do you have as a therapist and what do you do to help me?
With over 10 years in private practice helping clients in situations like yours feel better and get better I wholeheartedly believe in the healing and pain relief you will receive from therapy. With your commitment and willingness to follow the method and my guidance using various helping techniques and proven strategies you will enjoy a positive therapeutic experience.
My approach varies from a shorter term, structured, cognitive behavioral psychotherapy called Rational Living Therapy that results in long term happiness to solution focused therapy which gives you a future focused, solution driven, goal-oriented short term experience while problem solving.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Let’s face it: I will not be a good fit for everyone, but I offer all my potential clients a free telephone consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other. If I am unable to help you, with your permission I will refer you to someone else who may be able to assist you.
Do you work with couples?
Yes, I offer a structured couples therapy experience as well as several other life & relationship coaching packages. Please view more information about my coaching certification and packages under the Life & Relationship Coaching Tab on my website.
